    OSBA Recognition

    Goshen Local Schools had several programs and individuals honored during the October 11th Ohio School Board Association Southwest Region Fall Conference. The annual event is where excellent programs from school districts in the region are recognized and the accomplishments of school buildings and school board members are celebrated.

    Goshen Local Schools had three programs/individuals recognized.


    • Third Grade Math Camp: Program was recognized for being invited to participate in the Student Achievement Fair at the OSBA Capital Conference in November. Spaulding third graders participate in an evening of fun-filled "Math Camp". Students are immersed in fun math activities based around a camp theme.
    • "Wheels for Austin Program" This program was recognized as a "Special Recognition Program". Austin has Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Students and staff set a goal to raise $30,000 for the wheelchair and with the support of the community they did!
    • The evening concluded with Mrs. Sue Steele, President of the Goshen School Board, was recognized for the Al Kettlewell Award for Outstanding Boardmanship.
