Saturday night members of the Goshen Community gathered to attend the 7th Annual Goshen Gala hosted by the
Goshen Chamber of Commerce. The
theme of the night was “Strengthen and Support Goshen”. Recognition was given to community
programs and individuals that do just that. The educational community of GLSD was recognized with several of our
staff members and programs receiving awards.
Here are the nominations and awards that our staff recieved:
- The GLSD PTO was honored under “Special Recognition of Groups That Strengthen and
Support Goshen”.Any time that you
get an opportunity to thank members of this group for the efforts that they
make on behalf of our students and staff please take it.
- Our Career Based Intervention Program
at GMS and GHS was honored as well.
- School Resource Officer James Taylor was recognized as “Public Servant
of the Year”.
- Kindergarten teacher
Jamie Titcomb, fourth grade teacher Valerie Zackerman, and high school guidance
secretary Margie Hadley were nominated for the “Excellence in Education Award”
- Mrs. Zackerman recieved the Excellence in Education Award in the end.
