JAMES KURA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The James Kura Memorial Scholarship Competition is sponsored by the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to the top 3 essay writers who respond to the question posed. To qualify seniors must have a 2.5 GPA. Applications are available in the guidance office. Applications must be submitted by April 1, 2011.
BEST BUY @15 SCHOLARSHIP
The Best Buy @15 Scholarship Program will award scholarships to students in grades 9-12 who plan to enter a full-time undergraduate course of study. GOSHEN WARRIOR SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Goshen Warrior Scholarship Fund will award four $500 scholarships this year to Goshen High seniors who are planning to pursue higher education other than a traditional college. Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA, have a clear career goal and the desire to reach that goal and submit to a criminal background check. Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline for application is April 1, 2011.
MERCY HOSPITAL CLERMONT GUILD AND FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
Mercy Hospital Clermont Guild and Foundation are pleased to announce they will offer three $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors who are accepted into a field of study in health care. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA, demonstrate participation in school/community activities and reside in CLermont County. Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline for application is March 24, 2011.
GOSHEN HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
The Goshen High School Alumni Association Scholarship is available to Goshen High Seniors who have at least a 2.5 GPA. Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline for application is March 7, 2011. Each year the Alumni Association awards several $1000 scholarships.
GRANT C. ALEXANDER SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
ABS Business Products is sponsoring the Grant C. Alexander Scholarship Program for 2011. This scholarship awards $1,000 scholarships to academically worthy and financially eligible students. Applications are available in the guidance office and are due by April 1, 2011.
VIETNAM VETERANS OF AMERICA SCHOLARSHIP
Chapter 10 of Vietnam Veterans of America is accepting applications for its annual scholarship program available to students from the Greater Cincinnati area. These scholarships are available to veterans and their family members/dependents as set forth in the guidelines. Applications are available in the guidance office. Application deadline is April 10, 2011.
GUY AND MABEL LYKINS SCHOLARSHIP
The Lykins Companies, Inc. is again offering their Guy B. and Mabel Lykins Scholarship this year. Applicants must be pursuing a bachelors degree, have a GPA of at least a 3.0 and be actively involved in community service. Applications are available in the guidance office. Applications will be accepted beginning February 25, 2011 and must be postmarked on or before April 1, 2011.
EASTERN HILLS ROD & GUN CLUB SCHOLARSHIP
The Eastern Hills Rod & Gun Club is offering a $750 (annually renewable) scholarship to a Clermont County student who is pursuing a degree in conservation, forestry or wildlife management. The application is available in the guidance office and must be submitted by April30, 2011.

THE OHIO PTA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Ohio PTA Memorial Scholarship Program offers three different scholarships for high school seniors. One scholarship program is for students pursuing a Bachelors Degree, another program is for students pursuing an Associate Degree and the last is for a student who has a current IEP or 504 plan. The applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline for application is March 1, 2011. Applicants' family must be a member of the Ohio PTA. THE OHIO NEWSPAPER FOUNDATION MINORITY SCHOLARSHIP The Ohio Newspaper Association is again offering their Minority Journalism Scholarship for the 2011-2012 school year. Applicants must be African American, Hispanic, Asian American or American Indian, have a 2.5 GPA and be pursuing a newspaper journalism career. Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline for application is March 31, 2011.
THE CINCINNATI SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM The application for the 2011-2012 Cincinnati Scholarship Foundation Scholarship Program is now available in the guidance office. The Foundation administers over 80 different scholarships and students can fill out one application to be considered for all of the scholarships. Only applications postmarked on or before the April 30 deadline will be accepted.
THE CLERMONT COUNTY EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP The Clermont County Excellence in Education Fund is offering a $500 scholarship to a Clermont County senior who plans to pursue a degree in any Social Studies area. Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline for application is March 26, 2011.
THE WILLIAM D. SQUIRES EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP The William D. Squires Scholarship will again be offered to 12 lucky seniors in the class of 2011. This scholarship is need-based. Any student who has an EFC (Expected Family Contribution) of less than $8,000 is eligible to apply. Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline for application is April 5, 2011.

TEACH GRANT PROGRAM
The Teach Grant Program provides grants of up to $4,000 a year to students who intend to teach in a public or private school that serves students from low-income families. Students must agree to teach in areas that have been designated as shortage areas for the 2011-12 school year. Those areas are: Art-Visual and Performing, English/Language Arts, Foreign Language, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies-Civics/Government, Economics, Geography, History, Exceptional Children with Disabilities, Speech Pathology and TESOL. Recipients must agree to teach at least four years in the designated field and at a low-income school. For more information go to www.federalstudentaid.ed.gov.
KFC COLONEL'S SCHOLARS PROGRAM
The application process for the KFC Colonel's Scholars Program is now open. Students have until February 9 to visit www.kfcscholars.org to apply. To be eligible students must have at least a 2.75 gpa, plan to pursue a bachelors degree next year and demonstrate financial need. Awards can be up to $5,000 per year and can be renewable. |
