GOSHEN PTO SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
The Goshen PTO will again be offering scholarships to two graduating seniors who plan to attend college. To be eligible you must have at least a 3.0 GPA and have been accepted into a college or university. Applications are available in the Guidance office and are due by May 5, 2011.
VICKI HOWLETT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Applications are now available in the guidance office for the Vicki Howlett Memorial Scholarship. Applications are due back in the guidance office by May 6, 2011.
CHOOSE APPALACHIAN TEACHING SCHOLARSHIPS

Choose Appalachian Teaching Scholarships are $4,000 for up to four years and are available at Marietta College, Muskingum University, Ohio University, Shawnee State University and the University of Rio Grande and Two year scholarships are available at Ohio University's regional campuses; Chillicothe, Eastern, Lancaster, Southern, and Zanesville for students seeking licensure to teach math and science in Grades 7-12. Applicants must commit to teaching for three years in an Appalachian county in Ohio after graduation and licensure while they participate in a 3-year induction and mentoring program. Applications are available in the guidance office and are due by June 1, 2011.
PAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The PAL Scholarship Fund will again award scholarships to Goshen High School seniors this year. Applications are available in the guidance office and are due by May 6, 2011. Every applicant will be interviewed by the PAL committee at the high school on a night to be determined.
EDGAR K. SPRINGMAN TRUST SCHOLARSHIP
The Edgar K. Springman Trust Scholarship is for Goshen High School seniors intending to pursue a bachelors degree. Each candidate will be interviewed at school on a day in May by the committee. Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline for application is May 3, 2011. The number and amount of the scholarships will be determined by the earnings of the trust in 2010.
GOSHEN FIRE DEPARTMENT ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
The Goshen Fire Department Association Scholarship is for Goshen High School seniors pursuing a college degree. Applications are available in the guidance office and are due by May 6, 2011.
GOSHEN ATHLETIC BOOSTERS SCHOLARSHIP
The Goshen Athletic Boosters will again award scholarships to Goshen High School seniors. Applications are available in the guidance office and are due by April 18, 2011.
NANCY A. STEWART-MCCOLLUM SCHOLARSHIP
The Nancy A. Stewart-McCollum Scholarship is awarded by former Goshen graduate Nancy Stewart-McCollum. The application is due by May 6, 2011 and is available in the guidance office.
GOSHEN YOUTH FOOTBALL LAURA ASHCRAFT SCHOLARSHIP
The Goshen Youth Football Laura Ashcraft Scholarship is for a senior who played sports at Goshen High School or participated by volunteering at Goshen High School for community service. Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Applications are available in the guidance office and are due by April 18, 2011.
MIKE SPILMAN SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Mike Spilman Scholarship Fund was established in memory of former Athletic Trainer, Mike Spilman, to assist a Goshen High School senior who is planning to pursue a degree in the athletic training field. Applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA. Applications are available in the guidance office and are due by May 3, 2011.

THE OHIO CREDIT UNION FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
The Ohio Credit Union Foundation is pleased to announce the debut of its $5,000 video scholarship. To qualify, an applicant must be a high school senior, a member of an Ohio-based credit union, and plan to pursue an undergraduate degree in 2011-2012. Applicants must create a 1 to 2 1/2 minute video advertisement that answers the scholarship question and incorporates the following money management techniques: thrift/savings, savvy spending, and wise credit usage. Video entries can be edgy, funny, bold, simple, serious - or anything in between. Video entries can be submitted online via the Foundation's website from March 14 through May 20. THE GE - REAGAN FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP ON FACEBOOK
The GE - Reagan Foundation Scholarships is on Facebook. The foundation is rewarding up to 20 students each year with a renewable scholarship of $10,000 annually, potentially up to $40,000 per recipient. Students must access the application from Facebook.
THE HEALTHY LIFESTYLES SCHOLARSHIP

THE CLERMONT COUNTY COUNSELORS ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
The Clermont County Counselors Association is offering $500 scholarships again this year. Applicants must plan to enter the field of education and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The application is available in the guidance office and is due by March 24, 2011.
THE CLERMONT COUNTY RETIRED TEACHERS ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
The CLermont County Retired Teachers Association Scholarship is open to graduating seniors who plan to become teachers. Applications are due April 11, 2011. Applications are available in the guidance office.
THE SIXTH MASONIC DISTRICT ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
The Sixth Masonic District Association is pleased to be able to offer two $1,000 scholarships this year. Applications are available in the guidance office. Applications must be submitted by March 1, 2011. Winning applicants must be able to attend an awards meeting on May 6, 2011.
THE DEBBIE MOORE MEMORIAL EQUINE SCHOLARSHIP
The Debbie Moore Memorial Equine Scholarship is a $500 award offered to a graduating senior aspiring to a career with horses. Applications are due April 16, 2011. Applications are available in the guidance office.
THE UC CLERMONT COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The 2011-2012 UC Clermont College scholarship process has changed: Students MUST submit their scholarship applications vie email to clermontscholarships@us.edu. Applications submitted by paper will not be reviewed by the selection committee. The scholarship booklet and the scholarship application are available on the main page of the UC Clermont website: www.ucclermont.edu. Please click on the "Scholarship Application" button on the left hand side of the page. Students will have until March 28, 2011 to submit their scholarship applications.
THE BUICK ACHIEVERS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Buick Achievers Scholarship Program is for seniors who plan to major in a course of study that focuses on STEM (Science,Technology, Engineering, or Math). Select Design, Marketing, Accounting, Finance and Business majors are also eligible. Scholarship recipients must demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in the automotive or related industries. OHIO COOPERATIVE EDUCATION ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
The Ohio Cooperative Education Association (OCEA) is an organization of employers and two and four year colleges/universities whose mission is to promote the awareness of cooperative education throughout the state. This $1,000 scholarship is awarded to an Ohio high school senior with at least a 3.4 GPA who will enroll at an OCEA member college/university. Member schools are: Bowling Green State University, College of Mount St. Joseph, Miami University, Northern Kentucky University, Ohio State University, Tiffin University, University of Cincinnati, University of Dayton, Wright State University, Xavier University, Cincinnati State Technical & Community College and Sinclair Community College. CURRENT SURFACES, INC. TRACK ATHLETE SCHOLARSHIP
Current Surfaces, Inc. is offering its sixth annual Current Surfaces, Inc. Track Athlete Scholarship. The $1,000 scholarship is for seniors who have three or more years of track participation; this may include the 2011 track season. Applications are available in the guidance office. JAMES KURA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The James Kura Memorial Scholarship Competition is sponsored by the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to the top 3 essay writers who respond to the question posed. To qualify seniors must have a 2.5 GPA. Applications are available in the guidance office. Applications must be submitted by April 1, 2011.

The Goshen Warrior Scholarship Fund will award four $500 scholarships this year to Goshen High seniors who are planning to pursue higher education other than a traditional college. Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA, have a clear career goal and the desire to reach that goal and submit to a criminal background check. Applications are available in the guidance office. MERCY HOSPITAL CLERMONT GUILD AND FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
Mercy Hospital Clermont Guild and Foundation are pleased to announce they will offer three $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors who are accepted into a field of study in health care. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA, demonstrate participation in school/community activities and reside in CLermont County. Applications are available in the guidance office. GOSHEN HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
The Goshen High School Alumni Association Scholarship is available to Goshen High Seniors who have at least a 2.5 GPA. Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline for application is March 7, 2011. Each year the Alumni Association awards several $1000 scholarships.
GRANT C. ALEXANDER SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
ABS Business Products is sponsoring the Grant C. Alexander Scholarship Program for 2011. This scholarship awards $1,000 scholarships to academically worthy and financially eligible students. Applications are available in the guidance office and are due by April 1, 2011.
VIETNAM VETERANS OF AMERICA SCHOLARSHIP
Chapter 10 of Vietnam Veterans of America is accepting applications for its annual scholarship program available to students from the Greater Cincinnati area. These scholarships are available to veterans and their family members/dependents as set forth in the guidelines. Applications are available in the guidance office. Application deadline is April 10, 2011.
GUY AND MABEL LYKINS SCHOLARSHIP
The Lykins Companies, Inc. is again offering their Guy B. and Mabel Lykins Scholarship this year. Applicants must be pursuing a bachelors degree, have a GPA of at least a 3.0 and be actively involved in community service. Applications are available in the guidance office. Applications will be accepted beginning February 25, 2011 and must be postmarked on or before April 1, 2011.
EASTERN HILLS ROD & GUN CLUB SCHOLARSHIP
The Eastern Hills Rod & Gun Club is offering a $750 (annually renewable) scholarship to a Clermont County student who is pursuing a degree in conservation, forestry or wildlife management. The application is available in the guidance office and must be submitted by April 30, 2011.

THE OHIO PTA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Ohio PTA Memorial Scholarship Program offers three different scholarships for high school seniors. One scholarship program is for students pursuing a Bachelors Degree, another program is for students pursuing an Associate Degree and the last is for a student who has a current IEP or 504 plan. The applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline for application is March 1, 2011. Applicants' family must be a member of the Ohio PTA.
THE OHIO NEWSPAPER FOUNDATION MINORITY SCHOLARSHIP
The Ohio Newspaper Association is again offering their Minority Journalism Scholarship for the 2011-2012 school year. Applicants must be African American, Hispanic, Asian American or American Indian, have a 2.5 GPA and be pursuing a newspaper journalism career. Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline for application is March 31, 2011.
THE CINCINNATI SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The application for the 2011-2012 Cincinnati Scholarship Foundation Scholarship Program is now available in the guidance office. The Foundation administers over 80 different scholarships and students can fill out one application to be considered for all of the scholarships. Only applications postmarked on or before the April 30 deadline will be accepted.
THE CLERMONT COUNTY EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
The Clermont County Excellence in Education Fund is offering a $500 scholarship to a Clermont County senior who plans to pursue a degree in any Social Studies area. Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline for application is March 26, 2011.
THE WILLIAM D. SQUIRES EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
The William D. Squires Scholarship will again be offered to 12 lucky seniors in the class of 2011. This scholarship is need-based. Any student who has an EFC (Expected Family Contribution) of less than $8,000 is eligible to apply. Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline for application is April 5, 2011.

TEACH GRANT PROGRAM
The Teach Grant Program provides grants of up to $4,000 a year to students who intend to teach in a public or private school that serves students from low-income families. Students must agree to teach in areas that have been designated as shortage areas for the 2011-12 school year. Those areas are: Art-Visual and Performing, English/Language Arts, Foreign Language, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies-Civics/Government, Economics, Geography, History, Exceptional Children with Disabilities, Speech Pathology and TESOL. Recipients must agree to teach at least four years in the designated field and at a low-income school. For more information go to www.federalstudentaid.ed.gov.
KFC COLONEL'S SCHOLARS PROGRAM
The application process for the KFC Colonel's Scholars Program is now open. Students have until February 9 to visit www.kfcscholars.org to apply. To be eligible students must have at least a 2.75 gpa, plan to pursue a bachelors degree next year and demonstrate financial need. Awards can be up to $5,000 per year and can be renewable. |
