    MIKE SPILMAN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
    Mike Spilman was the Athletic Trainer at Goshen High School until 2009. After he lost his battle with cancer in June 2009, a scholarship was established in memory of his dedication and service to Goshen High School athletes and to the Goshen community. Preference is given to students who plan to pursue a degree in athletic training. Applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA. Applications are available in the guidance office and are due by May 6, 2013.
    FOUNDATION FOR APPALACHIAN OHIO SCHOLARSHIP
    The Foundation for Appalachian Ohio offers several scholarships for seniors with one application. The AK Steel Foundation offers scholarships for students living in one of the 32 appalachian counties pursuing a degree in the field of science, technology, engineering or mathematics; priority to those with specific focus of metallurgy. The Ora E. Anderson Scholarship is for a senior in one of the appalachian counties who plans to pursue a degree associated with the natural sciences, including but not limited to: forest and wildlife management; environmental restoration; natural and historical interpretation; ecotourism and related disciplines associated with broadly protecting plants, animals and the environment. The Wayne F. White and Bob Evans Legacy Scholarship is open to all graduating seniors in the 32 appalachian counties. Applications are available in the guidance office. Please indicate on the front cover which scholarships you are applying for by checking the appropiate box. Deadline for application is April 1, 2013.
    GOSHEN HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP
    Applications for the Goshen High School Alumni Scholarship are available in the guidance office. Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or above. Application deadline is March 18, 2013.
    NANCY A. STEWART-MCCOLLUM SCHOLARSHIP
    Applications for the Nancy A. Stewart-McCollum scholarship are available in the guidance office. Applications for this $1000 scholarship are due back in the guidance office by May 6, 2013.
    EDGAR K. SPRINGMAN SCHOLARSHIP
    Applications for the Edgar K. Springman Scholarship are available in the guidance office. Applications must be returned to the guidance office by April 26, 2013. Applicants will be interviewed during the school day at a date to be determined. Once the date is determined a time will be set for each applicant.
    GOSHEN YOUTH FOOTBALL LAURA ASHCRAFT SCHOLARSHIP
    Applications for the Goshen Youth Football Laura Ashcraft Scholarship are available in the guidance office. Applicants must have played a varsity sport at Goshen High School or participated by volunteering at Goshen High School for community service. Applications must be returned to the guidance office by April 30, 2013.
    VICKI HOWLETT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
    Applications for the Vicki Howlett Memorial Scholarship are available in the guidance office. Applications must be returned to the guidance office by May 6, 2013.
    PAL SCHOLARSHIP
    Applications for the PAL Scholarships are available in the guidance office. Deadline for the PAL Scholarship is April 30, 2013. There is an interview process for the PAL scholarship but the date has not been set yet.
    GOSHEN ATHLETIC BOOSTERS SCHOLARSHIP
    Applications for the Goshen Athletic Boosters Scholarship are available in the guidance office. Deadline for the Goshen Athletic Boosters Scholarship is April 15, 2013.
    EASTERN HILLS ROD & GUN CLUB SCHOLARSHIP
    The Eastern Hills Rod & Gun Club is offering a $750 renewable scholarship to a Clermont County student who is pursuing a degree in conservation, forestry, or wildlife management. The application is available in the guidance office. Deadline for applying is May 21, 2013.
    GOSHEN EDUCATION ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
    The Goshen Education Association Scholarship application is available in the guidance office. Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need. Deadline for application is April 5, 2013. This scholarship is not limited to education majors.
    FRED & LENA MEIJER SCHOLARSHIP
    Full and Part-time Meijer Team Members and children of full and part-time Meijer team members may apply for the Fred & Lena Meijer Scholarships. Meijer will be awarding two $10,000 and one hundred plus $2,500 scholarships for the 2013-14 academic year. Applicants can go to www.mission.do/meijerscholarship to apply. Applications must be completed by April 1, 2013.
    CAPTAIN NICHOLAS J. ROZANSKI MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
    The Captain Nicholas J. Rozanski Memorial Scholarship-National Guard will be awarded this year. Applicants must be a high school senior or current undergraduate student and a dependent of a current or retired member of the Ohio Army National Guard, must have at least a 2.5 GPA and must have participated in community service and leadership activities. Instructions for applying are in the guidance office. Application packets must be returned by Tuesday, April 30, 2013.

    ROBERT WILLIAMS MEMORIAL LODGE #135 F. & A.M. SCHOLARSHIP
    The Robert Williams Memorial Scholarship application is now available in the guidance office. The scholarships are provided by the Butlerville Masonic Lodge #135 F. & A.M. Several $500 scholarships will be awarded. Deadline for application is April 5, 2013.
    UC CLERMONT SCHOLARSHIPS
    UC Clermont has more than $200,000 in scholarships for the 2013-2014 academic year! The scholarship booklet and the scholarship application are available on the UC Clermont website: www.ucclermont.edu. Please select "scholarships" on the left-hand side of the main page. The application is only available online. Students will have until 5:00 p.m. on March 22, 2013 to submit their scholarship application.
    MERCY HOSPITAL CLERMONT GUILD SCHOLARSHIP
    Mercy Hospital Clermont Guild are pleased to announce they will once again offer three $1000 scholarships to graduating seniors who are accepted into the field of health care. Applications are available in the guidance office. Application deadline is March 20, 2013.
    MERCY CLERMONT PHYSICIANS SCHOLARSHIP
    Applications for the 2013 Mercy Clermont Physicians' Scholarship Award are now available in the guidance office. Eligible students are those completing their senior year of high school at a school located in Clermont County, and who are preparing to graduate and attend college to pursue a career in healthcare-related fields. Applications must be returned by March 29th in order to be considered.
    THE MARVIN LEWIS SCHOLARSHIP FUND
    The Marvin Lewis Scholarship Fund was created to recognize and honor outstanding male and female student athletes from our region on an annual basis. Candidates are asked to write a 1000 word essay, meet established criteria of a minimum 2.75 grade point average, have a proven commitment to the community, a varsity letter, and financial need. Finalists will be interviewed by Coach Lewis. Winners will receive a four year $20,000 scholarship to the college or university of their choice. Qualified students should apply for the Marvin Lewis Scholarship by completing the application found at www.cincinnatischolarshipfoundation.org or pick up an application in the guidance office. Application and essay must be submitted by April 30, 2013.
    THE CLERMONT COUNTY FARM BUREAU SCHOLARSHIP
    The Clermont County Farm Bureau Scholarship is available to students in Clermont County who are planning to major in an agricultural field. Preference will be given to students majoring in agriculture, animal science, horticulture, science and chemistry and education majors specializing in the areas above. Guidelines and applications are available in the guidance office. Applications and accompanying material must be submitted by Thursday, March 28, 2013.
    STUDENT-VIEW SCHOLARSHIPS
    The 2013 Student-View Scholarship Program is offering $10,500 worth of scholarships to high school seniors who plan to attend a four year college, community college or career school. One $4000 scholarship, two $1000 scholarships and nine $500 scholarships will be awarded. Simply log on to www.student-view.com and complete a 15-20 minute application survey about colleges in your area. The scholarships will be awarded via a random drawing of all completed surveys. The scholarship winners will be announced in May. Deadline for applying is April 23, 2013. Student Insights is a market research firm helping colleges and universities communicate more effectively with high school seniors.
    THE LYKINS COMPANIES SCHOLARSHIP
    The Lykins Companies, Inc. is again sponsoring scholarships for high school seniors in Clermont County. Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Applications are available in the guidance office and may be accepted starting February 25. Applications are due by April 1. Every high school in Clermont County will be awarded a scholarship.
    UNIVERSITY OF DAYTON VIDEO SCHOLARSHIP CONTEST
    The University of Dayton is sponsoring a video contest on Facebook. Post a video on Facebook that tells us about your future: What's your plan? Will you make your mark? What are you going to do, or where will your map take you? First place winner will receive $40,000 in scholarships, second place $6,000 and third place $4,000.     CINCINNATI SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP
    Applications for the 2013-2014 Cincinnati Scholarship Foundation College Scholarship are now available in the guidance office or at www.cincinnatischolarshipfoundation.org. Students should know that a transcript up to the first semester of the current school year must be submitted with the paper application. Those completing the electronic application may send in the transcript separately. Students will also need to complete the FAFSA since most of the scholarships are need-based. Only applications postmarked on or before April 30th will be accepted. Faxed applications will not be accepted. The Foundation administers over 80 different scholarships. I have attached a list of the scholarships. You need only submit ONE application to be considered for all of the scholarships. IF YOU HAVE FINANCIAL NEED YOU SHOULD APPLY FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP.

    VIETNAM VETERANS OF AMERICA SCHOLARSHIP
    Chapter 10 of the Vietnam Veterans of America is accepting applications for its annual scholarship program available to students in the Greater Cincinnati area. These scholarships are available to veterans and their dependents. Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline for application is April 12, 2013.

    WILLIAM D. SQUIRES EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
    The William D. Squires Educational Foundation is going to award 12 $3,000 scholarships to Ohio seniors this year. Eligibility is primarily based upon financial need. The EFC (Expected Family Contribution) on your FAFSA student aid report must be less than $8,000 to apply. Applications are available in the guidance office or at www.smdsquiresfoundation.org. Deadline for application is April 5, 2013.

    ANTHONY MUNOZ SCHOLARSHIP FUND
    The Anthony Munoz Scholarship Fund is open to high school seniors in the tri-state region. Students must have at least a 2.5 GPA or at least an ACT composite score of 18, demonstrate a desire and intent to overcome adversity, have financial need, excel academically, and fulfill a leadership role in the community. Applicants must also plan to attend one of the following colleges or universities: Art Academy of Ohio, Cedarville University, Central State University, Cincinnati Christian University, Cincinnati State, Clark State, College of Mount St. Joseph, Miami University, Sinclair Community College, University of Cincinnati, University of Dayton, Wilmington College, Wittenberg University, Wright State University, Xavier University, Georgetown University, Northern Kentucky University, Thomas More College, or Earlham College. Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline for application is April 30, 2013.

    THE B. DAVIS SCHOLARSHIP
    The B. Davis Scholarship is open to all High School Juniors and Seniors. To apply for this scholarship you will need to write an essay of less than 1000 words on the topic: Discuss, in less than 1000 words, what you would consider to be the most important issue that society has to deal with in the next 10 or 20 years. Why do you think this issue so important? Be sure to include your name the school you are attending this year and next. Your submissions must be sent to us by email at awards@studentawardssearch.com. Deadline to apply is May 27, 2013.

    BOWLING GREEN STATE UNIVERSITY MATH AND SCIENCE EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
    The Science and Math Education in Action Scholarship Program at Bowling Green State University is for students interested in pursuing a career as a science and/or math teacher. This Choose Ohio First 4-year scholarship offers incoming students nearly $20,000 in funding plus innovative experiences throughout their four years to prepare them to be exceptional teachers. The deadline to apply is January 25, 2013. Go to www.bgsu.edu/action for more information and the online application.
    THE BOUNDTREE MEDICAL LEGACY SCHOLARSHIP
    The BoundTree Medical Legacy Scholarships are available for sons or daughters of a career or volunteer Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, or Firefighter (active, retired or deceased) who is interested in a career in Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Eligible applicants must plan to attend a State approved EMT Basic certification program or increase their level of certification through an EMT intermediate or Paramedic program. Applications are available in the guidance office. Application deadline is March 29, 2013.

    SIMON YOUTH FOUNDATION COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
    The Simon Youth Foundation Community Scholarship Program is for students who live in close proximity of a Simon Property Mall (Premium Outlets in Monroe). Applications are available in the guidance office. Application deadline is January 11, 2013.

    STATE FARM GOOD NEIGHBOR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
    The State Farm Good Neighbor Scholarship Program is open to high school seniors who plan to enroll in full time undergraduate study at an accredited two or four year college, university, or vocational-technical school, have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 to 3.2, and demonstrate financial need. Up to 26 $2,500 awards will be given. Go to www.scholarshipamerica.org/statefarmgoodneighborscholarship/ to apply. The deadline for application is December 17, 2013. Only the first 360 applications will be accepted.

    BURGER KING SCHOLARS PROGRAM
    Created in memory of BURGER KING co-founder James W. McLamore, the BURGER KING Scholars program has awarded more than 17,000 scholarships—$17.6 million—to high school students, BK® employees and their children across the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. This spring, thanks to the support of the BK® family and the McLamore Family Foundation, the Foundation awarded 1, scholarships, totaling more than $2.2 million, nearly doubling the number of scholarships granted in 2011.

    Scholarship grants range from $1,000 to $50,000, and are intended to help students offset the cost of attending college or post-secondary vocational/technical school. Recipients are selected based on their grade point average, work experience, extracurricular activities and/or community service.

    Scholarships are funded directly by the BURGER KING McLAMORESM Foundation and are made possible thanks to our generous donors, including BK® employees, franchisees, vendors and guests. Our largest annual fundraiser is the Fall Fundraiser in-restaurant promotion. Every dollar raised through this campaign is used to fund scholarships.     OHIO CAREER COLLEGES SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
    The 2013 Ohio Association of Career Colleges and Schools Legislative Scholarship Program for Ohio graduating seniors is now open. Applications are available in the guidance office. There are over 400 scholarships available ranging from $2,000 to $44,000. The scholarships are for seniors planning to take programs like Accounting, Business, Computers, Criminal Justice, Dental Assisting, Medical Assisting, Paralegal, Veterinary Technology and more at specific colleges like The Art Institute of Ohio, Beckfield College, Brown Mackie College, Miami-Jacobs College, Fortis College, ITT, and the Lincoln College of Technology. The Application deadline is April 15, 2013

    .CHOOSE OHIO FIRST SCHOLARSHIP
    Four Year Scholarships are available at Bowling Green State University for incoming freshmen considering careers in teaching science and/or mathematics. The Ohio Board of Regents has awarded Choose Ohio First grant funds to BGSU to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education. Their unique program called Science and Math Education in Action (ACTION) offers recipients $3,800 the first year of college with increases each year up to $5,200 the fourth year - a scholarship valued at a total of $20,000. The basic criteria for consideration includes: Ohio Resident
    Minimum GPA of 3.0
    Recommended minimum ACT of 23
    Considering a career teaching science and/or math

    Deadline to apply is January 25, 2013. In addition to four-year scholarships, the ACTION program offers unique opportunities for students such as a month-long Summer Bridge program to prepare incoming freshmen for college, personal interactions with faculty, involvement with science or math research projects, and real-world field experiences with community members who use science and math in their careers.     AXA ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS
    The AXA Achievement Scholarship provides $670,000 in annual scholarships to young people throughout the nation. The 2013 program is underway. One winner from each state will receive a $10,000 scholarship and from the pool of state winners ten students will receive an additional $15,000 scholarship.     The AXA Achievement Community Scholarship Program allows every AXA Advisors' branch office nationwide to distribute up to 12 $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors who attend high school in their area. You can apply online at www.axa-equitable.com/axa-foundation/AXA-achievement-scholarship.html . Only the first 10,000 applications will be accepted. Application deadline is February 1, 2013.

    ELKS NATIONAL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS
    The Elks National Foundation sponsors Most Valuable Student Scholarships and Legacy Award Scholarships. The Most Valuable Student Scholarship is open to any high school senior. Applications are available in the guidance office and should be submitted to the Elks Lodge nearest your home. 500 awards ranging from $60,000 to $4,000 will be awarded. Legacy Awards are available to the children or grandchildren of a living Elk who joined the order on or before April 1, 2010. You should apply through the parent's Elk Lodge.     ROBERT A. CUNNINGHAM MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
    General Electric Credit Union is proud to offer the 16th Annual Robert A. Cunningham Memorial Scholarship. Each applicant mus meet the following criteria:

    Be a college-bound, graduating high school senior
    Primary member of GECU
    Have activities that demonstrate a steadfast and long-serving spirit of volunteerism
    Have a strong academic record with at least a "B" average

    Completed applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2013

    A primary member of GECU is defined as any student who has his/her own share/savings account. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Hamilton, Butler, Warren, Clermont, Montgomery, Adams, Brown, Clinton or Fayette county which makes it easy for a student to become a primary member.


    SUSAN B. KOMEN FOR THE CURE SCHOLARSHIPS
    Applications are open for the Susan G. Komen For The Cure College Scholarship Program. Applicants must have lost a parent/guardian to breast cancer or must be a breast cancer survivor diagnosed at 25 years or younger. They must plan to attend a state-supported college in the state they reside, have at least a 2.8 GPA and agree to be an advocate for breast cancer education and research.     NATIONAL MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP
    The National Multiple Sclerosis Society sponsors a scholarship program for high school seniors who have a parent with Multiple Sclerosis or who have the disease themselves. The application form is available at www.nationalmssociety.org/scholarships. The application is available from October 1, 2012 to January 15, 2013.
