    HOMECOMING 2011!!

    Homecoming was held the week of September 26 - October 1, 2011.

    Seniors started the week by ordering their cap, gown and other graduation items. each day was given a theme, Monday was Roll out of Bed Day, Tuesday was Twin Day, Wednesday was Farmer Day, and Friday was Red and Gray Day. This year the ultimate winners of the Powder Puff Football Game on Thursday, was once again the Girls Senior Football Team. They were Coached by Mr. Reed, Faculty member. They spent a great deal of time practicing when not working hard on their floats for this years parade.

    Friday morning the senior football team members, cheerleaders, flag corp, and band participated in mini pep rallies at Marr/Cook, Spaulding Elementary and Goshen Middle School. The returned to GHS in time for our own loud and proud pep rally that included a hobby-horse relay, introducing the homecoming court for 2011 with cheerleading and the band playing...

    The Homecoming Parade began at 5:30. The class float theme this year was cereal boxes. There were floats with Tony the Warrior (tiger), Captain Crunch being shot out of a cannon, Warrior Luck Charms complete with there own leprechaun and Fruity Pebbles dunking the Western Brown Bronco. Congratulations to the Sophomore Class for the winning Fruity Pebbles Float!!

    This year's King and Queen were crowned at the pre-game ceremony by last years King and Queen, Mr. Alex Owens and Miss Corrine Whitley. Congratulations to Mr. Chaz Gresham, Homecoming King 2011 and Miss. Kaitlyn Tucker, Homecoming Queen 2011!!!

    The Homecoming Dance was attended by over 300 students and chaperons. The students danced the evening away with the sounds of Mr. KA the DJ. The homecoming court was introduced with the King and Queen dance taking place approximately 10:00 p.m. More dancing continued until 11:30 when the evening reluctantly came to an end. Everyone stated that the whole week was an unqualified success!!! GO WARRIORS!!!
