Dear Goshen High School Parents, Guardians, and Students:
Welcome to Goshen High School, once again rated as an Excellent High School by the Ohio Department of Education!I hope your summer was enjoyable and restful so you are ready to roll into this exciting school year.
The GHS staff will once again provide all students with opportunities for extra help during The Bonus Periodon Tuesdays and Thursdays.This time is “built in” during the regular school day to assist students with homework, OGT and ACT/SAT preparation, enrichment and reinforcement.Additionally, Project Passwill be available to all students, after school, for extra help Monday through Thursday each week starting on Monday, September 13, 2010.Transportation home is provided for this after school program.We will share more information about this program at Open House on August 19, 2010.
I would like to offer a special welcome to the class of 2014!You are about to begin the most exciting time of your life.Over the next four years, you will create life-long friendships and memories that you will always hold dear to your heart. There are many exciting educational and extra curricular opportunities for you.I invite you and your parents to attend our Freshman Orientation Program on August 19, 2010 beginning at 7:00 p.m.This “Open House” program will include an opportunity to pick up you schedule and planner, meet your senior mentor, tour the building, speak with teachers and see the showcase of extra-curricular programs for the new school year.
Upperclassmen are invited to come to the building on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.to pick up your planner, schedule and pay your school fees.
I also want to take this opportunity to remind you thatour first day of school is Friday, August 20.Our school day will begin at 7:30 a.m. and will end at 2:30 p.m. Don't be late!!
