This year is my thirty-first year of teaching; twenty-six at GHS. I have been the Student Council advisor since 1996. In 1999-2000, I started the Random Acts of Kindness Club. The Student Council is in charge of Football Homecoming, the Homecoming Parade and the Football Homecoming Dance. We also do four blood drives during a school year, adopt a family at Christmas, send blankets to American soldiers in the Middle East and run Warrior Games in March!

I currently teach Study Skills class to students on IEPs and am the Social Studies intervention teacher. My planning period is fifth and I am almost always available between 6:30 and 7 AM at 722-2227, ext. 2062.

I have been married to Ron since 1984. He and I both graduated from Little Miami in 1976. I graduated from University of Dayton in 1980 with a bachelor of arts in education. I received my Master's degree from Wright State in 1999. Ron and I have two sons (Aaron and Jacob), a daughter in law (Stephanie) and the joy of our lives, our grandchildren...Ellianna Journeay Pennix, born Dec. 16, 2008 and Drake Stephen Pennix, born March 16, 2011.
