My name is Mrs. Brandy Caramico. I am the
Autism/Social-Communication-Behavior Intervention Specialist
(ASD/SCB) for GMS. This is my 4th year teaching in the
district. I spent one year as an inclusion Intervention Specialist
and this is my third year as an ASD Intervention Specialist. I have
a wonderful husband named Mike and two beautiful daughters Cat-12years old and Jade-2 years old. I have an Associate's in Early
Childhood Education and Bachelor's of Science with a dual
certification in Mild to Moderate and Moderate to Intense
Disabilities from the University of Cincinnati and will graduate in
January with my Reading Endorsement and a M.Ed in Reading from the
University of Xavier. I love school and learning. I am passionate
about working with and learning more about individuals with ASD. In
our free time my family and I enjoy volunteering at our church and
spending time with each other-going to the zoo, park, skating,
bowling, walking-anything that gets us moving.
As your child's Intervention Specialist, I will be helping you and your child throughout the year with:
Individualized Education Plan-typically done in October
Behavior Intervention Plans
Transition Plans
Social skills and Academic support
Correspondence between Team
Being an integrated member of is school environment.
Your child will see me for Homeroom and receive support in the general education classroom. S/He will receive additional supports throughout the day with a number of opportunities to demonstrate independence.
