    Welcome to my page! I am an 7th grade social studies teacher at Goshen Middle School. The 2011-2012 school year will be my 6th year of teaching. I grew up in Milford, Ohio and currently call Goshen my home! I live in Goshen with my husband of seven years, Aaron and my AMAZINGLY-ADORABLE kids, Jude and Vayda.

    Credentials:

    • Bachelors Degree in Middle Childhood Education (Social Studies and Language Arts) from the University of Cincinnati
    • Masters Degree in Middle Childhood Education from the University of Cincinnati
    • Current Co-Advisor of the Goshen Middle School Student Council

    Wed. April 11: Manor System Simulation- Discovering how power was distributed in Medieval Europe
    Thurs. April 12: Reading Notes 2: Manor System/Feudalism in Europe
    Fri. April 13: Feudalism Dramatizations- Acting out different parts of life in Medieval Europe

    Mon. April 16-Wed. April 18: Continue and present Feudalism dramas
    Thurs. April 19: Watch a video and read a play about the "Black Death" (Bubonic Plague)
    Fri. April 20: Reading Notes 5: Significant medieval developments and their impact on feudalism (Magna Carta, etc.)

    Mon. April 23---the end of the year: Students will be working with small groups on a teaching unit. Student groups will be assigned a topic and they will be in charge of the following:
    -researching the topic
    -developing a way to teach the topic to their peers
    -assessing their peers over the content learned

    Students will be experts on their particular topic and will have the opportunity to show off their knowledge with the rest of the class. All of this work will be completed in class. Contact me with any questions, concerns, comments, etc.
