     Bachelor of Arts from the University of Cincinnati: BA. Psych.
     Bachelors of Science from the University of Cincinnati: BS, Elem Ed.
     Teacher at Goshen Middle School for 11 years

    Science

    COURSE GOALS:

    1. Develop scientific critical thinking skills.
    2. Extend and encourage reasoning skills to come up with answers and conclusions.
    3. Encourage students to become engaged with non-fiction text (through modeling and by providing necessary skills and opportunities), making meaning and real world connections.

    4. Demonstrate an understanding about how weather systems and processes interact.

    5. Demonstrate an understanding of how living systems function and interact with the physical environment.
    6. Provide students with opportunities to collaborate with peers as investigative scientist.
    7. Demonstrate an understanding of the composition of physical systems as well as their concepts and principles.
    8. Recognize that science and technology are interconnected.
    9. Gather and analyze information using scientific inquiry.
