Marr/Cook teachers are beginning a project to enrich our students learning. We are in the beginning stages of creating a wonderful Outdoor Classroom!

The space above is going to be the location of our outdoor classroom.

Marr/Cook Elementary School is working to develop an outdoor classroom and schoolyard wildlife habitat on the school campus. Our goals are to develop a fun, safe and educational outdoor learning environment that supports the newly adopted Ohio Common Core Standards.

Upon completion of our outdoor classroom, it will include a variety of learning stations and components including:

• bird blind -

  

• log decomposition station -

  

• weather station

• wildlife tracks box -

  

• sunflower literacy area

• herb and butterfly gardens -

  
  

• aquatic study area

We hope you can help us by giving your time, services, extra plants from your garden, or gardening tools. You can also support our outdoor classroom project by making a monetary or an in-kind donation of materials and/or labor.
